PAKISTAN AND MOHAMMAD ALI JINNAH

WHAT IS LEADER?

Leader is the one who unites people under one slogan and grooms them, encourages them and makes them prepare for the upcoming results whether good or bad. If there is no leader then there is no order. Leader is the guidance for the path of truth.

Even if there is a leader but not a dignified one, then this is also dangerous because the whole of the nation relies on his shoulders. In short, what I want to say is  Leader does not just mean a person who is followed but it means a ray of light which paves the way for the success of its nation. To check the credibility of leader one should  test him with contemporary situations of that specific era.

MOHAMMAD ALI JINNAH AND PAKISTAN:

Going back to the situation of the subcontinent; the Subcontinent was ruled by British. It was a colony of the Great British empire. There were three main nations living there i.e Britishers, Hindus and Muslims. Both the Britishers and Hindus were getting modern Education of that time while Muslims out of their rage refused to get that education of British. As a result, they were left behind in the fields of education which affected their lives in such a way that they were not able to hold the government offices because they were not eligible for that. There was only a handful of Muslim educated people who strived very hard to make people aware about the consequences of what they were doing.

What Muslims needed most at that time was a dignified leader to control them, organize them and make them see the future. It could be done by none other but Muhammad Ali Jinnah because:

1.He was a competitive leader to Britishers and Hindus because his educational background was strong just like them. His intelligence was empowered by his wit and wisdom.

Jinnah was the originator of the dream that became Pakistan, architect of the State and father of the

world's largest Muslim nation. Mr. Jinnah was the recipient of a devotion and loyalty seldom

accorded to any man. (Harry S. Truman, 33rd president of the United States)

2.He was once a part of Congress then after that he left Congress and joined Muslim League, thus he knew which party was better, which was working for Muslim nation.

“If Muslim League had 100 Gandhis and 200 Abdul Kalam Azad and Congress had only one Jinnah

than India would have never divided”. – Vijay Laxmi Pandit

3.He was a Muslim no doubt but he argued on the bases of logic and reason with Britishers and Hindus. To win a war of dialogue logic and reason are the best things.

4.For a leader with such a great job, personality matters a lot. His personality and integrity had always been impressive. Even if today you go through the books written about the personality of Quaid-e-Azam you will find that many of the great leaders of several countries were impressed by him.

Some of the evident quotes that will elaborate my argument are:

“I believe no power can buy Mr. Jinnah.” – Gandhi

 

5.When there were meetings like round table, Simla Deputation, Cripps Mission, Redcliff Mission etc He had always given the Britishers and Hindus a tough time when the interests of Muslims were not protected.

Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three” –

6.His selflessness was unquestionable in a way that when he was a barrister, he refused to get 1500 rupees monthly income and said he could earn it a day but when he became the Governor General of Pakistan his monthly income was just one rupee. What I want to say is that his power and authority were not able to rule his character.

7.Leadership is incomplete without its team. We cannot neglect the fact that his team has also played on their lives for the establishment of a separate Muslim homeland. We cannot deny the fact that Allama Iqbal was the first one to dream of Pakistan but at the end of the day what matters most is the leadership. No matter how big your goals are, you can never achieve them unless you are organized to act on them and that actor was Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
