WHAT DO WE TEACH OUR KIDS VS WHAT SHOULD WE TEACH OUR KIDS.

The mind of a little one is like clay, it gets mold according to the shape of the container and maintains that shape throughout his life, once the clay dries out and  you try to change that shape, it will break. It not only adopts the shape of the container but also endorses the colour, nature, even good and bad attributes of that container. That container is actually the guardian of the kid. The schooling and coaching of childhood is so strong that it never loses its impact.

WHAT DO WE TEACH OUR KIDS:

  • In our society; the very first problem is that the problem never remains self sufficing, it rolls over to other people. If a mother has an issue of jealousy she will certainly teach it to her kids. I am not saying she will literally tell them "come on.. get jealous of them", she will even not admit she is jealous! But her actions will prove it by one way or another. For example, she might compare her kid to other kid. We have to know that everybody has some unique features of their own, everybody is superb in their own sphere. We cannot judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree.
  • We want them listen to us more and we hear them less. This is not the way. We have to listen to them, each and every time with best of our concentration. This will help them be self confident.
  • We have to give time to our kids. They not only need money but time also. Parent tends to be the emotional coach for their kids.
  • We have to make them learn that being able to earn money does not make him complete human but being humane make him complete human. Character building should be the first priority. Career building is secondary; it is up to the child to work hard and select the field of his interest.
  • We are least bothered to answer the queries of our children if we do answer our kids, we do it with incomplete information. If a child is asking something we have to not only answer him but give him explanation as well.

WHAT SHOULD WE TEACH OUR KIDS:

  • We should raise our kids with statements starting as "If you do.." not with those starting as "If you do not..". These two statements are very different with respect to the effect that it has on a young mind.
  • We should not beat them. Beating makes them more vulnerable to negativities.
  • We stop our children from something bad or mischief and do not tell them the reason behind this. It could become easier for the child to act on what his parents say with reasons and evidences.
  • We should incline the mind of our young one towards books. A successful nation has the quality of reading. Facebook, instagram, tiktok can never groom a kid to be scholar, doctor, engineer writer, sportsman, leader. We must allow them but when they are mature enough, so that they do not waste time on social media.
  • Children must be guided in such a way so that they are addicted to knowledge gaining. Either from books or newspapers, when a person is eager to gain knowledge he do gain it because there lies thousand ways for him. But when he does not have interest in it, he will find thousand lame excuses.

YOUR LIFE MATTERS NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES ARE!

LIVES ARE GIVEN AND TAKEN BY GOD, OUR AIM MUST BE TO LIVE IT NOT TO RULE IT... What is the thing which makes human so helpless that he even denies his own life? To me the most precious thing which I care about most is my breath, my life. If a person is capable to muster up such courage to give up on his own life, he must be depressed this much. Now what might be the reasons for depression. For me, the top most reason is that there are no listeners left in the society. In today's world, we might live in same house but we are separated by the walls of social media. We barely have family talks. Even if we contact our friends and relatives, we do it for our own "Transactional causes"_ you give I take, I give you take. Even I have experienced that many of my close friends and relatives do not call or message me until they have their own interest in doing so . What happens when there are no listeners? That listener might be a close friend to the depressed one. As a result, the ...

TO MY BELOVED DISTRACTED YOUTH

Why is our youth so desperate to jump into western lifestyles? In my opinion, the reason behind their this will is their  "Enslaved thoughts". We have been a colony to the west, used by them, not used but actually DRAINED out of our resources by them. The westerns have colonized us in different ways. This was not a one day process, they slow poisoned our minds. They colonized us and then provided different means of needs and attractions to us. They made us stand in a position where we could not even turn on a light without their assistance because this light too is their invention. The households, cars, aeroplanes, electronic devices and even medicines are all their inventions and without them we consider our survival impossible. So as we are controlled this way, we got slowly and gradually admired by them, started following them and at the end want to be like them. In this way they caged our minds. They made us disbelieve in our own selves. Dependency to me is more chroni...

THE PAKISTANI MEDIA

Media is the main mean of mass communication these days. A common man accesses the world before him through media. This world includes politics, education, economy and much more of a country as well as the international system. Starting from the Pakistani local dramas. How do they portray our culture? Obviously through the message they convey. No doubt, they address social issues like in the dramas " Udari, Ruswai, Damsa" and many more, which is really appreciable of them. At the same time they show our living dishonorably in some dramas. They dispatch the image of university and public offices bluntly. This affects the mindset of a common man in a way that he refuses to send his children, more specifically daughters, to such institutes which affects the country eventually. Most of our dramas show upper class which is not so in Pakistan because more than 40%  of our public is even below the poverty line. The language, the dressing and living are not represented as Pakistani ...
